The View at The Palm - new observation deck in Dubai

The View at The Palm will be a spectacular new observation deck in Dubai when it opens in 2020, promising views of the Dubai skyline and 360-degree views of the Palm Jumeirah.

The View at the Palm

The construction of Palm Jumeirah's most central parts, with buildings like Nakheel Mall and The Palm Tower, has been going on for quite some time. Now it seems to be nearing the opening of the most interesting parts.

Next year will see the opening of The View at The Palm, the observation deck that will At the Top in Burj Khalifa and Dubai Frame competition for visitors who want to enjoy Dubai from above.

The View at The Palm - 240 metres up

The penthouse will be located on the 52nd floor of The Palm Tower, 240 metres above ground. Located in the centre of the Palm Jumeirah, visitors will enjoy uninterrupted views around the entire Palm - and towards the mainland and Dubai's glittering skyline.

This is what the view from The View at the Palm can be like, over the Palm Jumeirah.

In addition to the observation deck, there will be a VIP area and space for private events.

As with most modern observation decks, there will also be interactive elements, in this case to show how The Palm was constructed.

The goal is to create a world-class observation deck that, in addition to views and vistas, will educate and inspire visitors by telling the story of how the developer Nakheel succeeded in the enormous Palm Jumeirah project.

A perpetual pool on the roof

In addition to The View at The Palm, the skyscraper The Palm Tower will contain an 18-story hotel, from the St. Regis, private residences, a restaurant, and a perpetual pool located on the roof directly below the observation deck.

The pool will be the highest in Dubai. Whether it will be open to visitors, we don't know yet. But we're keeping our fingers crossed.

Another rumour, as yet unconfirmed, is that Dubai's longest zipline will start from the roof of the building. If true, those who dare can fly over the palm tree strapped into a harness and steel cables.

We will update this page with more information on opening dates, opening hours and ticket prices as soon as that information becomes available.
